Linda Anne Feuz Williams

October 29, 1946 - May 26, 2025

- Linda Anne Feuz Williams of Cottonwood Heights, Utah passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on May 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born October 29, 1946 in Jackson, Wyoming to Emil Gottfried Feuz and Myrtle Elaine Beckstead. Linda grew up as a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was proud of her Swiss heritage as her grandparents emigrated to the United States from Switzerland in the early 1900s and homesteaded in an area that eventually became Teton National Park.

She attended Teton County public schools in Jackson, Wyoming and participated in the Drill Team, Ski Team as well as the High School Band where she was very accomplished in playing the flute.

She attended and graduated from Utah State University in 1968 with a Degree in Elementary Education. She embraced her beautiful red hair and was proud of the fact that she drove around campus on her Red Honda 50 Bike. Go AGGIES! She accepted her first teaching position in Port Angeles, Washington. The following year she relocated to teach in Tacoma, Washington where she met a young 1st Lieutenant Michael Lee Williams stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 21, 1973. Linda then became a lifelong member of a distinguished group of women known as "Army Wives, Toughest Job in the US Army!" She supported her Career Military husband at the following duty stations for the next 22 years.

Linda resided in Cottonwood Heights, Utah for the last 34 years. She is survived by her loving husband Michael Lee Williams, their son Lawrence (Larry) David Williams, his wife Pia Williams and their daughter Alison Denise Williams of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, their daughter Marcella (Marcy) Elaine Shern, her husband Cecil David Shern and their four children: Lydia Dana Shern, David Thomas Shern, Michael Joseph Shern, and Tabitha Grace Shern of Draper Utah.

She is also survived by her older brother Larry Feuz and his partner Kathy Wipfler of Jackson Wyoming, younger sister Susie Feuz Nethercott and her husband Phillip Sydney Nethercott of Mendon Utah, and many nieces and nephews who adored her. She was preceded in death by her parents Emil Gottfried Feuz and Myrtle Elaine Beckstead Feuz.

Linda had many professional accomplishments and military awards, too numerous to list. She was the most amazing mother and loved her children fiercely. Her most cherished title was that of "Yaya" bestowed upon her by Cecil and Marcy's nephew Brandon Michael Wilde. Her love was felt by her grandchildren and the many friends they would bring by the house. Her home was always open to others, the kitchen and porch a place to shoot the breeze, typically with a Diet Coke in hand, and always a story to share. We will miss the quick wit, the beautiful tales of Switzerland, the vivid keen memories of the Old Ranch. She is our Rose in the Master's Garden.

We are so grateful to the First Responders in Cottonwood Heights, her medical team at Saint Marks Hospital and the Funeral Directors at Cannon Mortuary for their professional kindness and care they took of our most precious wife, mother, yaya, aunt, sister, and friend.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brighton 1st Ward Chapel 2925 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 S), Cottonwood Heights, Utah under the direction of Bishop Marty Curtis. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Internment will follow at the Utah Veterans Cemetery-Camp Williams, 17111 S 1700 W Bluffdale, UT
