Jimmy Hayes (1989–2021), former NHL player

Jimmy Hayes was a former NHL forward who won an NCAA hockey championship with Boston College.

Hockey Career

Jimmy Hayes was a star player for Boston College who helped lead the team to an NCAA college hockey championship in 2010. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2008 and made his NHL debut for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2011. He played for various teams during his NHL career including a two season stint with his hometown Boston Bruins. Hayes best season was with the Florida Panther when he scored 19 goals during the 2014-15 season. He finished his playing career in 2018 with the New Jersey Devils, finishing with 54 goals and 109 points during his pro career. Recently, he had been co-host of the podcast “Missin Curfew” with fellow former NHL players Shane O’Brien and Scottie Upshall.
