PETER DEAN Obituary

DEAN, PETER EDWIN February 28, 1937 - September 21, 2021 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter, at the Palliative Unit of Sunnybrook Hospital after a short, challenging battle with cancer. Peter is survived by his son, Paul and brother, Geoffrey, in England. Fondly remembered and loved by his nieces and nephews in England, Bryony (Darren). Johanna (Gordon), Howard, Thomas, and sisters-in-law, Annie in England and Tina (Michael) in Toronto, cousins, Sheila, Pam and Pat, in England. Sadly missed by Norma and family in Ottawa, Josie in Peterborough, all of his friends of many years and neighbors in his apartment building, who have been so kind during Peter's ill health. Peter and his brother, Geoff, had an idyllic childhood growing up in London, England, thanks to his loving parents, Ted and Dorothy, who had a very happy marriage. Although Peter had no formal musical training and was self-taught, he could not pass a piano without sitting down and playing to whoever wanted to listen. He was lover of travel, avid racquet sports player and latterly, lawn bowling player, throughout his life. He was also known for his quirky sense of humour. The family would like to thank Dr. Selby, nurses and staff of the Palliative Unit for the wonderful care of Peter.
