Wesley L Christensen Jr.
Grand Chute - Wesley L. Christensen Jr., 81 of Grand Chute, passed away, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Theda Care Hospital from heart failure.
Wes was born October 1, 1939 in Richland Center, Wisconsin to Wesley and V. Hope (Erickson) Christensen. He graduated from Appleton High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Wes retired from Riverside Paper Company, where he worked in Purchasing.
He was a devoted father and husband. He spent an abundance of his free time enjoying the outdoors. He walked his dog in the woods and cross country skied for many years. Later in life he enjoyed riding his lawn mower and often mowed his yard and helped neighbors with theirs. He also enjoyed learning math, science, and history- a World War II buff. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his wife, Mary, children, and grandchildren.
Wes is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Kari Christensen, stepdaughters Lisa (Chuck) Marsh and Lori (Swanson), his grandchildren, Annika and Margaux Stewart; Alek Christensen, Lynzie Christensen (great-grandson Jaxson) and Orion Rieden; David, Dylan and Nickolas Marsh; and Kaitlyn, Ryan and Morgan Swanson; his brother Dale (Donna) Christensen and his family,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and V. Hope Christensen and his daughter Kelly Christensen and childhood friend Thomas C. Heuer.
A celebration of life service will be held summer 2021.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
My deepest sympathy on the passing of Wes. I enjoyed working with him for over 25 years at Riverside. I enjoyed our 1 on 1 conversations. Dedicated, passionate, and enjoyed the times I had on his farm.

Wes and I worked in the same office and used to have some great talks --everthing from world issues, gardening, and of course our kids. Wes was a good listener and told some funny stories with his "dry" sense of humor.
Mary, My sincere condolences to you and the kids.
May God Bless you all....
