PALATINE - Nancy Stacy was born on January 4, 1944 in San Francisco, California to Thomas and Irene (nee Hoover) Driscoll. She died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at her home. Nancy was the most generous, loving, fun loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend one could ever hope to have as part of their life. She will be sorely missed. Nancy had a gift for making close friends and cherishing those friendships for a lifetime. She loved interior design, and her passion for decorating her home was never ending. Those who know her know she never ran out of decorating ideas and things to "tweak" around the home and yard. Nancy was also a terrific cook and loved nothing better than spending evenings in the kitchen preparing delicious meals and just being with her family. Nancy was always busy and tireless in her extracurricular activities. She was very active in the Garden Club of Inverness, serving as the Recording Secretary for a number of years and was slated to take over as Treasurer this year. Nancy was also committed to her Catholic faith and loved her church. She is survived by her husband, Ed Stacy; her children, Kimberly (Scott) Humphries and Chad (Erin) McLaughlin; her stepsons, Eric (Angelique) Stacy, Matthew (Sara) Stacy; her grandchildren, Charlie, Layla and Henry McLaughlin, James Humphries, Thomas, John, Jimmy and Joey Stacy.
