To Steve's family. What a tragic loss. I was so saddened by the news and wish I had known about the service in Providence. Steve and I were in the Classical High School Theatre Company together and I have so many memories of his terrific acting and great sense of humour. My last contact with Steve was reaching out to him via email when I saw him on an episode of the West Wing and I was so thrilled to see him working as an actor. His smile and soulful eyes will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace and on a cloud of jelly beans Steve.

Steve was not only a funny, imaginative performer, but a great guy. I met him during the comedy explosion in Boston when he was part of a duo with Chris Zito. It was always my pleasure to work with them. A genuinely nice man. My condolences to the family.

Steve was sweet and tender, smart and funny, quick witted and kind. I knew him at CMU and witnessed the fabulous Bean Team perform "doorway theater" one night - maybe it was before a house party where "The Shakes" played. That moment of inventive performance in the doorway took my breath away. Steve, you left a legacy of love and laughter. Your memory truly is a blessing.

Before Steven found a bean in his apple peach cobbler, or moved to Bean Town, he wooed me with jelli beans in high school. We must have seen The Wizard of Oz/Singing in the Rain double bill at the Avon Cinema at least 3 times and always with a brown bag of jelli beans that Steven smuggled in under his coat. Although he was only a year older than me, I always looked up to him. I followed him to Carnegie-Mellon and we soon took different paths, but a year didn't go by without a call or an email. Steven was my friend for life. From 14 to 57. I will miss him dearly. He's finally in a place where there isn't any trouble As he was born in Massachusetts and I was born in New York City....It was Providence we met, and it shaped my life and career! My love and condolences to his soul mate and love of his life Caroline, his son Jake, parents and sisters. Phil, Chris, Anita, Rae, Alan, and so many, many more friends and family whose lives he touched with laughter and love. Steven, thanks for teaching me that theater can happen in a doorway! Steven and I went to PHDS together from 1st grade-6th. Those were formulative years. Lots of unique memories. He was my sixth grade crush. Kept in touch briefly and we both landed in LA. Super-sweet funny nice guy... and handsome. Great family - great support. My thoughts are with them and all his friends who love him. So many wonderful memories of Steve. He was just joyful, even as a young man. His grit, grounded in joy for life will remain an inspiration to us all. Much love to Dorothy and Irwin, Lauren and Jill....and of course Caroline and Jake.
I know if Jason were able to comprehend, he would share in offering his shoulders too.
